It's official. We're part of the national network. CommCARE is partnering with one of the nation's top resources.
We are working together to save lives. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We're committed to improving crisis services and advancing suicide prevention by empowering individuals, advancing professional best practices, and building awareness.
CommCARE CEO Terry Trafton says, "This important partnership will elevate awareness for suicide prevention. We are now assisting and serving 40 counties across the state of Missouri to provide triage and access to behavioral healthcare for individuals in urban and rural communities. The partnership has a clinical collaboration for evidence-based practices in suicide prevention, utilizing the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale. We are excited and proud to be part of this national network."
