Specially Tailored Implementation Plan

We believe that all organizations are unique and require a tailored approach to properly implement a sound and well-functioning EAP within the organization.  The Alternatives Implementation Team is headed by an experienced Executive Consultant (Account Manager) who will work closely with the organization’s designated coordinator or team to customize the implementation plan, understand the current dynamics of the organization, design the system, plan the overall operation, and help with the introduction of the program.  Our implementation team will provide step-by-step assistance, and oversee our proven effective, four strategic implementation components. 
(1) Analyze the environment.
(2) Establish system objectives and seamless vendor transition plan (if applicable).
(3) Develop initial announcement vehicles.
(4) Establish ongoing objectives and communications plan.

 

Consultations and Coaching for Managers

Alternatives EAP believes that one of its primary strengths and true differentiating points from other programs is how it works with the organization in dealing with the problem employee.  Our experienced EAP Management Consultants will consult with HR, managers, and supervisors who have questions or concerns regarding employee behavior and making referrals to the EAP.

  • Identifying Troubled Employees

Company Referrals (Mandatory, Positive Drug Screen, Behavioral)

Alternatives EAP is also very much aware that one of the true values of an EAP is its ability to assist the organization in managing employee behavioral risk.  The Alternatives EAP intense and focused management of the job-related referral provides the best opportunity for employer and employee success. There is no limit to the number of referrals during the contract year.

Critical Incident Response & Management

Experienced EAP clinicians, trained in crisis intervention, are available onsite within 24 to 48 hours (in many cases the same day) for immediate trauma/violence counseling and educational sessions for individuals. 

DOT Compliance Services 

Alternatives EAP provides its clients with DOT compliance services. 
Included are:
(1) DOT certified SAP evaluations and return-to-work through a nation-wide network of SAP certified evaluators with 12-month follow-up and supportive care, if needed.
(2) DOT reasonable suspicion compliance training for managers and supervisors.

(3) Education compliance programs for DOT covered employees. 

Supervisor and Manager Training 

Alternatives EAP offers a wide array of training opportunities for managers and supervisors. 
The number of training hours varies by plan.

The Alternatives EAP approach to account management is based on our commitment to provide “best in class” service to our client companies.  We believe that one of our strongest differentiating points is the innovative strategy we employ for managing the way we work with our clients.  Our Executive Consultants become a proactive contributor to the business and human resource goals of our clients. They are our most skilled, experienced team members who understand the world of work, and the employer’s interest in keeping employees productive.  Your organization will receive an activity report providing data regarding program utilization on a quarterly and year-end schedule.  The report includes the numbers of cases opened and closed during the reporting period together with pertinent client data including a variety of employee demographics, length of employment and services provided.  This quarterly report helps the Alternatives Executive Consultant and the organization monitor program activities, plan future projects, and implement needed system changes.
